Mixed Orchard Plantation

Mixed Orchard Plantation

To increase the availability of food, fodder, and fuel wood orchard plantations will be encouraged. These plantation sites will be assets for the community and will serve as capital for the future. Multipurpose trees cover crops and seasonal drought-tolerant crops like Roselle, Cowpea, Pigeon pea, etc. will be grown to improve soil condition and supplementary income. On the infertile barren lands, soil-water conservation techniques like Water Absorption Trenches, Stone bunding, and Semi circular bunds will be made to improve soil condition, reduce run-off, and water recharge into the ground. MANT will negotiate and arrange for possible government convergences.
